Why Attend
Why Hearing Health Matters to Your Patients
Hearing loss is one of the most common chronic conditions in older adults, and it rarely travels alone. Untreated hearing loss has been linked to faster cognitive decline, higher fall risk, depression, and social isolation. The Lancet Commission on dementia prevention lists it among the leading modifiable risk factors for dementia.
Many patients bring up hearing or tinnitus concerns with their physician long before they ever see an audiologist. This symposium gives you practical, up to date guidance on what to look for, when to refer, and what happens once your patient is in our care.
It is also a relaxed chance to meet our team, ask questions, and share a great meal with colleagues from across Northwest Indiana.
